Our mouth is a gateway to our body for everything we intake consciously or unconsciously. It is very important to take special oral hygiene care to stay healthy. There are several oral diseases that people of any age can suffer.

Tooth decay, gum disease, cavities, and bad breath affects our health badly, and ignoring these might cause a greater risk to our body. And the greatest risk is for the kids of school-going age.

Hence a “Dental Check Up Camp” was organized by Vignan Steel City Public School, Duvvada, on 21st Apr 2022, on the school premises. Dr. Satish Dolai of Bhanu Dental Care, New Gajuwaka, arrived with his team to raise awareness of good oral hygiene. 

At the camp, every child was examined individually and given a prescription accordingly.  They also offered advice on maintaining good oral hygiene and showed participants the proper way to brush and floss their teeth.

The camp was a great success, and everyone who attended learned a lot about taking care of their teeth and gums. We would like to thank the dentists who generously donated their time and expertise to make this event possible.

Vignan school has been conducting various activities to inculcate reading habits in children. The latest activity was a newspaper reading activity for children to improve their reading skills and understand the importance of reading newspapers. 

Around 20 children from grades 3 to 5 participated in the activity. First, they were given copies of a local newspaper and were asked to read them aloud. Then, the children took turns reading different articles from the paper. 

The activity was a great success, and the children enjoyed it immensely. They learned a lot from it and are now more interested in reading newspapers. This is a great way to encourage children to read more and develop their reading skills. We are looking forward to more such activities in the future.

Vignan school conducted parents interaction session on 17th April 2022. The session aimed to allow parents to interact with their child’s teachers and get to know more about their progress in school.

The session began with a welcome speech by the Principal, Prasad Chandra Khandal followed by a presentation on the school’s academic progress and achievements. This was followed by a question and answer session, where parents had the opportunity to ask questions and seek clarification on various aspects of their child’s schooling.

The parents appreciated the initiative taken by the school and said that such sessions should be held more frequently. They also suggested some improvements that could be made to the school’s facilities and curriculum.

The session ended with a vote of thanks by the Principal, after which the parents were given refreshments. Overall, the session was very informative and beneficial for both parents and teachers.

The school conducted a grand admission test on 10th April 2022, which was a huge success. More than 200 students appeared for the test and are now gearing up for the next academic year.

Vignan announced a scholarship based on marks. The students who scored the highest full marks on the test will be given a full scholarship, while the students who scored the second-highest marks will be given a partial scholarship.

We are pleased to share that the admission test went smoothly. All the students who appeared for the test were very well prepared. We would like to thank all the students and parents for their cooperation during the process.

The test results were declared on 14th April 2022, and it was a delightful moment for the candidates who had cleared the exam. The selected students will be called for an interview and be allowed to join Vignan School, one of the best schools in India.

The parents are very proud of their children and are thankful to the school for giving them this opportunity. Vignan congratulated all the students who had cleared the admission test for receiving scholarships and admission to the reputed institution.

We wish all the students the very best in their future endeavors and plan to conduct more such tests in the future to select the best students from across the country.

Vignan school organized a basketball match with the Oakridge school team on 24th March 2022. This was the initiation taken to enhance the relationship with the member schools in our Hub.

The match was very exciting and both teams played very well. Our team won the match by 10 points. This was a great victory for Vignan school and a great learning experience for the students of both schools.

This shows how schools can work together to promote healthy competition and teamwork. We hope to see more such matches in the future!

“Pariksha Pe Charchaa” was a great initiative by the prime minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi, to connect with the students and help them prepare for their exams in a better way. The 5th edition of “Pariksha Pe Charchaa” was organized on April 1st, 2022. The event was live-streamed on the official website of the Prime Minister’s Office. 

Our students of classes IX, X, XII, and teachers gathered to watch the event on the school premises. It was an excellent opportunity for the students to interact with the Prime Minister and get his valuable tips on dealing with stress during exams.

Some key takeaway of this event was to focus more on smooth preparation for the exams. Prime Minister Modi advised students to celebrate exams as festivals as “April, is a month full of festivals. But while celebrating these festivals, we also need to focus on exams.

Students found it highly informative and were able to move ahead with a positive and a whole new mindset. The event was a great success, and the students were delighted to have participated. We hope to see many more such sessions going forward.

The festival of Ugadi marks the beginning of spring and the beginning of a new era. It is commemorated as “Ugadi” to mark the beginning of Lord Brahma’s creation. Vignan Steel City Public school, Duvvada, celebrated this pious festival with great pomp and glory on Apr 1st, 2022, on its premises.

Children and faculty were all dressed in colorful and traditional attire, bringing liveliness to the fresh morning air. The celebration started with the chanting of the religious prayers followed by traditional dances by the children.

Our beloved principal madam explained the importance of Ugadi to the children. However, the most important and attractive part of the celebration was the felicitation of every teacher with traditional gifts from the management to appreciate them for their commendable performance during the last two years of the pandemic.

The next session was followed by beautiful house-wise decoration of the respective bulletin boards on the theme of “Ugadi” with handmade decorativ eart pieces by the children. The entire celebration ended on a delightful note with delicious and traditional Andhra food served to the whole staff. What more can one ask to start the new year better than this? Vignan is happy to share the joy of Ugadi with its students and staff!

“Graduation Day” is one of the most memorable days in a student’s life that lasts for a lifetime. Vignan School conducted a grand graduation ceremony for our pre-primary students on 31st March 2022.

The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by our respected principal mam and then followed by a refreshing “Thankyou” dance performance by the students.

The students then received their certificates along with a small token of love from the school and posed for photos with their parents and teachers.  The event was a huge success, and the kids had a great time celebrating their big day. We extend our heartiest congratulations to the graduating students.

The parents were also happy to express their views about this event. It was a proud moment for everyone involved, and it was great to see the kids so happy.
